Getting started
Today is day one of my Daily Logo Challenge, a 50-day journey toward becoming a better logo designer. Each of the next fifty days will bring a new design brief with a fresh design challenge to get my creative juice flowing and practice my design skills.
Let's get started with today's challenge!
Design brief
Design a rocketship logo. Proposed optional space company name: Aerolite, Axis, Comet, Quasar. I chose Comet.
Proposal
The core idea was to incorporate a simplified and recognizable rocket visual into the logotype. The rocket is reminiscent of old cartoons. The O letter with circular negative space around it becomes planet earth from which the rocket is lifting off. The selected font is Avenir Next with adjusted tracking. I opted for a suitable space cadet blue.
