Enjoying a beautiful autumn day recently in Les Sables d'Olonne, there was something special about that late afternoon atmosphere on the main beach and I felt the urge to capture it in camera.
As the sun was setting over the Atlantic ocean, haze and high altitude clouds were creating soft misty light that was gradually turning gold. Streaks of condensation from plane trails were adding beautiful texture across the sky.
Adding to the peaceful scenery were the low tide and those sailboats returning home and slowly entering the famous channel where the winner of the epic Vendée Globe sailing race is crowned.
