Back in the studio today experimenting with various setup and lighting ideas.
This time my subject of choice was a sleek black iPhone 7 Plus. Those macro shots capture design details of Apple’s latest and greatest smartphone. I never get tired of the crazy amount of detail I get from my favourite camera / macro lens combination.
I was very interested to contrast the matte space gray surface of the body with the glossy finish of the Apple logo and the glass covered dual-camera system. Softbox placement was one of my focus points and resulted in a pleasing gradient effect on the logo.
Post-processing in Photoshop was mainly focused on removing remaining dust spots and scratches. That step was kept reasonably short by keeping my subject as immaculate as possible during the shoot.
